PHP Rated One Of The Best In The Country!
The Government's independent public sector watchdog, the Audit Commission, has rated Poole Housing Partnership (PHP) services as "excellent" with 'excellent prospects for improvement', in their recent inspection of the organisation.
PHP scored a top three-star 'excellent' rating from the Audit Commission because customer satisfaction is high for services that are easy to access and increasingly tailored to the needs of individual tenants.
The Audit Commission's Lead Inspectors for the South West, Kieren Colgan, says, "PHP staff know exactly what their tenants want and have a tenacious focus on delivering it. The service they give provides very good value for money. There are very few social housing providers who cannot learn from the example they set."
PHP is now officially rated as one of the best housing organisations in the UK. Borough of Poole Council have agreed to extend their management agreement with the housing organisation, meaning PHP will continue to look after Poole's Council homes for a further five years.
PHP resident and Chair of the Housing Strategy Panel, Helen Ross, says, "Over a number of years, I have seen a transformation in the services we receive. PHP is much more open to listening to residents. They actively seek our involvement, they are easy to contact and best of all promised action is always followed through."
"The investment has been wonderful, we have a wide choice and my new kitchen is of a quality that anyone would be proud of. I feel PHP respect tenants as people, and this is reflected in the way that they interact with them."
The Council's initial agreement with PHP began in April 2004, when the housing organisation secured £35million of funding to spend on refurbishing all of Poole's Council homes.
PHP manage over 5,000 Council homes across Poole providing a wide range of high quality services for residents, including repairs, cleaning, sheltered housing and dealing with anti-social behaviour.
