Dorset County Tenants Federation

Dorset County Tenants` Federation

Some of you may have heard of us but in case you have not and want to know a little more on what DCTF are aiming to do for the residents of Dorset here is a brief outline.

We are an organisation that has a represented membership in excess of 126000 residents across Dorset. We aim mainly to be a consultative body that champions your views and aspirations via a membership committee of two residents from each of the 15 major Dorset housing providers. We are totally independent and are resident run and resident led funding subscriptions from the 15 organisations. We have a partnering ethos and will work with all agencies across the board for the benefit of all residents...

You may be aware of the new government initiatives and regulatory bodies, well it is our intention to be able to influence the policies that come out of those in the future.. To do this we need a united voice to be able to represent your views on current issues etc. By having a bigger voice we will we hope be heard in the corridors of power. We aim to influence local, regional and national strategy to the benefit of Dorset and all tenants.

Our secondary aim once firmly established as a representative voice is to initiate or even facilitate a skill enhancement programme in conjunction with the housing providers which will enable residents to better understand the regulatory framework and to actively take part in the forming of that framework and debate at local, regional and national levels.

We welcome all active members that are willing to forward representative residents views. So if you feel you can contribute and bring representative views to the table then please contact us via the web site at www.dctf.org.uk or email us on enquiries@dctf.org.uk or tel : 01202-487025 for details on how you can make it happen.
