Right to Buy Rogues
Beware of Rogue Traders!
Residents with the 'Right to Buy' are being targeted by companies trying to make a profit from the scheme.
These companies will offer to co-ordinate the buying process on behalf of residents but often charge a fee for the administration of their service.
They will try to obtain a mortgage for residents and will earn commission from the mortgage lender. To make matters worse, the mortgage companies they use often charge a higher interest rate than the high street banks and building societies.
PHP are concerned that if residents apply for Right to Buy via these companies they will not receive all the information that they would get if they apply direct to PHP who offer a completely free service. If a resident has any doubts, please contact PHP for advice.
