Poole Housing Partnership insure the building you live in, but not the contents.  It is worth remembering that not only does this relate to theft/burglary, this also refers to any damage/loss caused by fire, leak, etc.  If there was a fire or a leak, Poole Housing Partnership would carry out a repair and make good any damage to the building itself but would not replace your personal property such as your TV and electrical equipment, carpets, curtains, furniture, etc.

It is not Poole Housing Partnership's policy to recommend any individual company to our residents - as each resident and their needs are unique. However, the Insurance Scheme offered by the National Housing Federation is aimed at Council residents. This scheme claims to offer one of the widest standard policy covers available to tenants. They accept flexible pay as you go payment options and cover starts from £1.72 per fortnight (or £1.17 for people aged over 60) - see the price guide on the link on the right hand side of this page. Of course, this is not the only option for Home Contents Insurance. You may find another insurance company who better meets your individual needs.
