Access To Computers At PHP
Continuing with the success of last May's Silver Surfers Day, PHP ran a further series of Taster sessions on Friday 22nd January 2010.
Sessions ran throughout the day from 10am to 3pm. Those attending learnt basic computer skills such as using a keyboard and mouse. They also learnt how to set up an email account and use email and also tried "surfing" the Internet.
Sessions were limited to an hour each but many of those attending felt encouraged by the sessions and each person was given a user guide to take away so they could practice at their own pace.
To enable residents to improve their computer skills PHP will now be holding drop-in sessions in the Resource Centre at Beech House every Friday morning. Residents can come along and use one of the computers and there will be someone on hand if needed. If you are interested please book with Reception on 01202 264444 a day beforehand to make sure there is a place available.
