Find out if you are entitled
Find out if you could claim any benefits (or additional benefits)
Am I entitled to any benefit?
If you consider yourself to be on a low income or are currently experiencing financial difficulties due to a loss of earnings it may be that you are entitled to Housing Benefits or other benefits.
There are a few different ways you can find out if you are entitled:
Online Benefit Calculator - To see if you would be eligible for any benefits, you can visit the 'online benefit calculator', see link to the right of this page
Book a Finance Check - An advisor from Citizens Advise Bureau can come to your home to personally and confidentially discuss your personal circumstances, your income and your outgoings. From the information you provide, the CAB advisor will then be able to check if there are any benefits you are entitled to that you are not currently claiming. The advisor can also help with finding a cheaper energy provider, cheaper home contents insurance, budgeting, debt issues and much more. To book a FREE Finance Check, please contact Karen Toft on 01202 264484 or email k.toft@poole.gov.uk.
Book an appointment to see the Benefits Caseworker at PHP -We now have a Housing Benefits case worker working at our office on Wednesday mornings between 9.30am and 1.00pm. The case worker will be working on an appointments basis. To book an appointment, please contact the Income Team on 01202 264444.
