PHP Residents Ride The Waves On Silver Surfers Day

With the help of Digital Unite, Poole Housing Partnership held free computer sessions at Millfield Sheltered Housing Scheme and at Beech House Resident Resource Centre throughout the day as part of Britain's biggest campaign to help people over 50 years old use computers and get online.

The day was a great success. Everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed the sessions, our eldest participant being 91 years young!

Everyone who attended received a PHP Silver Surfer pen and was entered in a prize draw for a £25 Tesco shopping voucher, there were also two runner up prizes of a pair of minature binoculars each.

The top prize of the £25 Tesco Shopping Voucher went to Mrs Baker from Waterloo House and Mr Nippard from Frobisher Avenue and Mr Douglas Taylor from Cynthia Close each won a pair of minature binoculars. Congratulations!
