Energy and Sustainability: we will...
- Set and achieve challenging targets, which are annually reviewed and monitored quarterly for the S.A.P. rating (standard assessment rating) to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
- Provide qualified, registered energy assessors to monitor the energy rating of your home.
- Install renewable energy sources where feasible.
- Provide energy efficiency advice in our At Home magazine.
- Employ and monitor contractors with a commitment to recycling and reducing their carbon footprint.
- Install energy efficient lighting in communal areas.
- Work towards eradicating fuel poverty for all our residents by being at the forefront of technology and innovation.
To achieve this we:
- Completed the "Warm Deal" contract ahead of schedule
- Carried out more energy surveys year on year
- Installed some solar systems with more planned
- Are working with environmental agencies to look at alternative fuels systems e.g. Biomass and Photovoltaic
- Are using latest technologies e.g. ambient air heat pumps to replace storage heaters
- Residents simple energy saving tips
- Have given out over 6,000 low energy light bulbs
