Bathrooms

Part of the Decent Homes programme are improvements to residents bathrooms.

MITIE logo Poole Housing Partnership, MITIE and residents work closely to review the materials being installed to bathrooms and the contract process to ensure that the highest quality worked is being delivered to best value.


Picture of a new level access shower MITIE and PHP also work in close partnership with Social Services to determine residents with specialist bathing needs. MITIE have a dedicated specialist team of operatives who are sensitive to residents needs and who are experienced in this type of work, carrying out over 10 adaptations each month.


Over the course of the bathroom contract, MITIE have consistently achieved excellent satisfaction levels from residents on completion of the works to their properties.

It will normally take just 10 days from start to completion of a standard bathroom.

The process starts with a visit from the Tenant Liaison Officer to "validate" the condition of the existing bathroom.  If it requires replacement the resident is asked to choose the colour scheme for the wall tiles and floor covering.

A letter will then be sent to advise of the start day for the works.

Wendy will ensure that the needs of the residents are met and that excellent communication with residents is achieved by keeping them fully informed at all stages regarding the progress of works to their home.

Paul has been with MITIE for four years and has overall managerial responsibility for all aspects of the bathroom refurbishment programme.  Paul is an avid sports fan particularly football and golf.
