Central Heating and Boilers (Warm Deal)
Part of the Decent Homes programme is the improvements to heating installations.
The Warm Deal programme to carry out the installation of gas-fired heating system, boiler replacements and upgrades is now complete. The work also included inspecting loft insulation and upgrading as required, as well as inspecting cavity walls to check on the existing standard of insulation.
If your property was not inspected by British Gas, but you feel that your boiler or heating system should have been included in the programme, please contact the Decent Homes Team and we will check our records to see if this work should proceed within this coming year. Similarly, if you have been missed off the loft insulation programme, you have 150mm (6 inches) or less of insulation depth in your loft, then please call us and we will ensure that a validation visit is made to your property.
The works undertaken during the "Warm Deal" contract has raised the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) rating, the buildings energy efficiency, from 50 to 75, making properties less expensive to heat.
