About Us
Learn more about Poole Housing Partnership, what it means to be an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) , Board Members and the Management Team.
Poole Housing Partnership is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), which was set-up under the Government scheme to bring investment for improvements to homes across the Borough of Poole.
The success of PHP secured funding of £35.4million for homes across Poole. This, along with additional investment from the Borough of Poole's resources, meant that a total of £50-60 million was available up to 2010 for improving the Council's housing stock.
Poole Housing Partnership is a non-profit making organisation managed by a Board of Directors. The 15 members of the Board are made up of 5 Councillors from all political parties, 5 residents and leaseholders and 5 independent people with professional skills to help run the service.
Being a non-profit making organisation means that any 'surplus' is invested back into the housing stock. Although we have strong links with the Council, we operate as a separate Arms Length company and our aim is the delivery of services which are second to none in the country.
The organisation has been able to introduce new ways of working and modern methods of procurement, which has delivered efficiency savings since April 2007 of £1.3Million. These savings have been reinvested in improvements to homes and the environment across Poole.
We have a Company Secretary who ensures that the PHP is run in full compliance with the Companies Act and all other appropriate legislation and best practice guidance.
Board Meetings are open to the public and are advertised on this website.
